Origins of Judaism
Judaism originated in the Middle East ,Canaan, Israel. The year2,000 BD , god
spoke to Abraham to leave his home in Mesopotamia and take his family
with him on a long journey to west and a land called Canaan. And this was how Judaism began. Jewish begins with the established between God and Abraham around 1812 BC (over 3,800 years ago), during the Bronze Age, in the Middle East.

Place of Worship
Their place of worship is Synagogue. In America Synagogues are often called temples.
Inside Synagogue, women and wen sit separately and everyone expect young girls(baby) has to have
their head covered.They use Kippah (a skull cap) to cover their head for men. It is the place where Jews come together for community prayer services .But it is also place to study.Jewish can actually pray anywhere however there are certain people (prayers)that can only be said presence of a minyan(a quorum of 10 adult men).

Basic Beliefs
In the Jewish Bible, there are two requirements for an animals and seafood. For animal, animals must chew their cud and have split hooves. But pigs do have split hooves but don’t have chew their cud. So that is why Jewish can’t eat pork. For Seafood Jewish may eat fishes that have both fins and scales. If you eat fish without fins and scales is unclean for you. They believe the god challenges them but also protects them. Jewish believe that gods continues to work in the world, affecting everything that people do.

One of the most important holidays in Judaism is ' Rosh Hashanah'.
It is know was new year in Jewish calendar .Year 2017(this year)'s Rosh Hashanah'
begins at Wednesday, September 20 and it ends at Friday, September 22.
So the holiday is 2 days long. It is a day of shouting and blasting. Sometimes the horn
that make sounds of shouting and blasting is called Feast of Trumpets.
